The Alley

Well I couldn't wait and plus i have my holidays going on so, here is my next post in less than a week !

This was taken in Carlisle, UK, close to the station. What I like about the photograph is the light streaming in through the tunnel. Its got the characteristic morning light orange tinge. I love the elements in it. I think they are sort of calming.

Rishikesh

As compiling a whole trip or category of photographs into a post is extremely time consuming,I have come up with a new plan :D
I shall now post one picture per week and talk little about and I hope you put in your suggestions as well :)

Rishikesh- uttarakhand -India. You are looking at the river ganga finally reaching the base of the himalayas and continuing its journey further down south to the northern plains .What I love about this photograph are the memories ofc but also the composition and the colours. Along the side of this river are religious bathing places.

The Exotic Trip

Yep,this time I went to the Andaman and Nicobar islands off the east coast of India. I'd like to take this moment to appreciate what an amazing place India is - you have cold as hell mountains in the north, hot as hell deserts in the west , beaches that go on forever on the peninsular and flatland in the northern plains and finally heavenly islands of its coast ...its every single holiday feature of all the countries in one ...the country has massive potential, I just wish the government would realise that ! Anyway enough politics and down to the art -

I spent almost all my time in water or on water most of my pictures will be about water.

This is a beach on Neil Island. So I get out of that car into that hot, yucky, tropical climate and look around and BAM ! this is the scene that hits me.

This is sea foam, touching a previously dry sandy white beach under my sisters feet. A really well timed picture by my sister ( ignore the smiley flip-flops please :) )

Same beach but oh!..just look at all the colours in the next two pictures - it got various shades of blue, green, blue-green and white.

Now this is a really beautiful natural pieces of wood lying on the same beach. I was too busy with the water and didn't notice this so, yes..this one is clicked by my dad.

Like I said,so much of travelling by government ships that there has to some photographs taken on them. Here it is ! Sunset on a ship.

The way the ship churns the water is amazing ! And seeing it up front is wow call me naive. But hey! i'm young I haven't seen much of the world and small things like this facinate me. Machinery at work.

Another beach but this one is at havelock ..the jewel of the Andamans. Love the shadows and the sea
of course

This is the Radhanagar beach. The MOST beautiful beach I have ever seen. The thick forest comes right up to the sea with only this patch of spotless white sand separating them. During the sunset the three colours blue, green and white look amazing.

I do not know the person waving in the picture and I wish he wasn't in it :\

Now we are at port blair ... capital of the state. Another beautiful place and worth looking walking around near their HUGE jetty area ( except during afternoons ..heat is intolerable ) so this is the most scenic viewpoint there and also the direction at which you are looking at is exactly the direction from where the tsunami waves approached on this island in 2004. The irony.

Ross Island -the first island to be hit by the tsunami on in this bay.

Ross didn't seem too special EXCEPT when I saw this ancient monument covered with wines and most importantly squirrels and bulbuls <3
This is the closest picture I have ever taken of any animal as quick as the squirrel and I don't have a very high zooming facility on my camera so that means I got very close to this cute thing.

And the bulbul ! its pretty invisible,I guess you'll just have to play a game of spot the bird.

Boat. not much to say about it, except it is the best artistic picture I have clicked on this trip

Oh this is the natural bridge on Neil. now getting here is tricky .. it's off the shore so no beach and plus you get completely locked here when the tide rolls in. I loved this but the path to get here is filled with dead corals that want to hurt you.

oh look another artistic picture !

These are one of the beautiful crustaceans that live on the beach. so when you walk towards the sea as you approach it , it's like the whole beach comes alive ..all these tiny shells and camouflaged crabs spring to life and scuttle out of the way.

Finally the most prominent landmark on port blair. the lighthouse on north bay that also happens to star on the Rs 20 note. North bay is also famous for beautiful corals of its beach and the classic seawalk of which I was part of non :|

One of the most beautiful spider webs I have ever seen.

So i wist the beach at about 10 am and this is what a find- low tide and so much sea fog...i can separate the sea from the sky ...no horizon

Another one of my favorite artistic photos - and anchor

I told you the forest loves the sea so much the branches almost make it there ? Plus the colour combinations.

                                                                            Sunnnnnn!

Well goodbye for now and have a great day cause I definitely am - sitting by the seashore with my soda :)

Please feel free to comment ! I am dying to hear from you :)
